As of July 1st 2025 We will have a brand New 24 foot Ros By Coastal Boat Works Of Rhode Island. We will be able to accommodate up to 6 people comfortably.
We Provide Everything You Need
You won't have to worry about not being prepared. We provide everything you need to get you started on the right foot. Gertrude H has permits, rods, bait, tackle, and we even offer to fillet and store your catch free of charge. If your visiting from out of town I have top wholesaler available for a reasonable fee. Your catch will be professionally handled flash frozen and shipped anywhere in the continental U.S.A
Boston Fish Charters leaves from the Mystic river in Medford but can and will pick you up anywhere in Downtown Boston Harbor waterfront . Staying Downtown or at the airport or seaport of Boston. Just ask we'll pick you up.
Many deep sea fishing trips available
Flounder in May and June In Boston . Its a great low key way to fill your cooler with a tasty treat. Black Back Winter Flounder. Great for kids skate,black sea bass,small stripers and smooth dogfish are always a possibility . Nonstop catching while in safe protected waters . Normally less then 30ft deep
Striped bass fishing starts mid may with schoolies and then gets in full swing the first week in June all the way through the fall run ending in October .
Tautog and haddock charters when available. Both species are great eating . Early spring and late fall . Just ask if they're biting , I will never waste your time.
Giant Bluefin Tuna starts mid September they are tough to catch and even tougher to land. However large sharks some very tasty are always available. Whales and porpoise are abundant out deep. Don't book this trip if you get sea sick. Its a long ride out and back.
What to bring on your Boston Harbor adventure!
Sunscreen / dress in layers . Mornings are cool mid day is hot . The Weather can change at anytime for the best trip possible be prepared.
Sunglasses are a must.The glare of the water is brutal . Polarized Sunglasses cut through the glare and allow you to see what others can't. Maui Jim's and Costa are the best.
Lunch or snacks. However there are restaurants all over the harbor that have docking. The captain (me) will happily take you to one . This can be time consuming about an hour.
What not to Bring giant coolers. Onpoint has a fish cooler and food cooler. Small coolers are fine we always have extra ice on hand .
